Sheikh Thibaud “Saifallah,” born in Paris, France in 1987, embraced Islam in 2009 and began his journey of Islamic scholarship in 2013 through local institutions such as the Al-Ghazali Institute and Al-Foulk. Between 2014 and 2017, he pursued formal studies at the French institute Institut Asharite, further enriching his grounding in traditional Islamic sciences. Around 2015 or early 2016, he began studying under Shaykh Mishri from Mauritania, a mentorship that continues intermittently to this day. Since 2017, Sheikh Thibaud has been a dedicated student of Shaykh Mahmoud Shabieb, refining his expertise particularly in Maliki jurisprudence. He has been actively teaching Maliki fiqh and various Islamic disciplines since 2016 and currently serves as a consultant with “InshAllah,” specializing in Islamic finance with a focus on crypto assets.
