Dr. Abdullah Noman is currently an associate professor of finance in the Thomas College of Business and Economics at University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He teaches courses in finance including personal finance, investment analysis, corporate finance, risk management and international finance. He has published in various academic journals and presented in many academic conferences in such topics as asset pricing, socially responsible investing, financial literacy and wellbeing, investment and behavioral finance. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) as well as a Certified Personal Finance Counselor (CPFC). He passed the Security Industry Essentials (SEI) and Series 65 exams administered by the Financial Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He is active in Pro–Bono financial advising among different ethnic and immigrant communities and a financial helpline volunteer with the Savvy Ladies.
